Installing the software
You need the access rights of the superuser root for the installation process.
Hewlett-Packard HP-UX
To install the software you will need approximately 7 MBytes free filesystem space.
Copy the uncompressed installation file xbigx.sw to the temporary directory /tmp on your computer.
Install the software using the following commands:
/usr/sbin/swinstall -s /tmp/xbigx.sw "*"
rm /tmp/xbigx.sw
IBM AIX
To install the software you will need approximately 8 MBytes free filesystem space.
Copy the uncompressed installation file xbigx.tar to the temporary directory /tmp on your computer.
Install the software using the following commands:
cd /
tar xfp /tmp/xbigx.tar
rm /tmp/xbigx.tar
Linux
To install the software you will need approximately 8 MBytes free filesystem space.
Copy the uncompressed installation file xbigx.tar to the temporary directory /tmp on your computer.
Install the software using the following commands:
cd /
tar xfp /tmp/xbigx.tar
rm /tmp/xbigx.tar
Oracle Solaris
To install the software you will need approximately 8 MBytes (SPARC) or 9 MBytes (x86) free filesystem space.
Copy the uncompressed installation file xbigx.pkg to the temporary directory /tmp on your computer.
Install the software using the following commands:
/usr/sbin/pkgadd -d /tmp/xbigx.pkg all
rm /tmp/xbigx.pkg
