6 Navigation and configuration using the dialog box6.1 Navigation mode 6.1 Navigation modeIf not configured otherwise (5.5 Dialog box), after program start the dialog box is displayed on the master in navigation mode:
In navigation mode the dialog box shows the current screen with its spatial relations (5.9.1 Screen arrangement). In the center you may select a screen (5.9 Screen). This lets the xcontrolx program try to move the mouse pointer to the corresponding screen, either as telepointer (5.8.2 Telepointer control) or for input (5.8.1 Input control). After selecting a neighboring screen a click on the jump button leads to this screen. The buttons of the bottom row close the dialog box or terminate the xcontrolx process. 6.2 Configuration modeIn configuration mode additinal buttons are used for loading and saving configuration files: 6.2.1 Server and ScreensIn configuration mode you can add or remove servers (5.8 Server) and screens (5.9 Screen) on the left side. The master is always the first entry and cannot be removed. When adding a server the xcontrolx process may obtain the number of screens from the server. Should this be impossible, the number of screens has to be configured manually:
If the server has screens which are combined by X-BIG-X or X-META-X, each virtual meta screen counts as one screen. On the left side you can select a server or a screen, for which one of two configuration pages are displayed in the main part. These pages are described by the following sections. 6.2.1.1 ServerOne page is used for configuring input control (5.8.1 Input control) and the telepointer (5.8.2 Telepointer control):
On the second page all other configuration options of the server (5.8.3 Miscellaneous server statements) are specified:
6.2.1.2 ScreenOn one page neighboring screens are added, deleted or moved (5.9.1 Screen arrangement):
The second page is used for the remaining configuration of the screen (5.9.2 Miscellaneous screen statements):
